Chateau is simply without peers.
He had no professional license, but was named one of the “three best architects of 1957” along with Frank Lloyd Wright and Mies van der Rohe.
He drove a red Ferrari with the license plate VROOM.
His name was Craig Ellwood.
And he designed two of the Bungalows at Chateau Marmont.
For old blue eyes it was Bungalow 4. For John Belushi, Bungalow 3.
For me no matter where it is at Chateau Marmont, it is to immerse yourself in a deep pool of cool.
Chateau is simply without peers. For it is utterly unique. From the tiny room 62, to the
fantastical penthouse 64 and everything in between.
For me to hide and relax in Bungalow 4 is the quiet among the storm. But allows you to
create your own storm. In private. With friends. With your own address.
And the ability to be far from the madding
crowd. And yet mixed up right amongst it.
All at once.
Unique. Inspiring. Inspired. And serene.
This is the place to be.
Just take it from me.
