Bugatti and Maserati Go POP

Words by: Jared Paul Stern

There must be something in the air in Italy this month – both Bugatti and Maserati have recently opened pop-up shops catering to their customers’ shall we say ‘DQ-esque’ lifestyles.

Two years ago Bugatti launched a collection of clothing and accessories complementing its ludicrously fast and expensive vehicles, which now has a retail presence in one of the most exclusive shopping resorts on the Costa Smeralda in Porto Cervo through the end of August. The shop also carries the exclusive line of Bugatti watches designed in conjunction with Parmigiani Fleurier. And better than that, two Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesses –  the fastest production roadster in the world – flank the entrance.

Maserati meanwhile opened Casa Maserati, it’s first time blending retail with a lounge bar (good idea gents) on Piazza San Fedele in the heart of Milan. There enthusiasts can stock up on Maserati Collection products and book test drives of models in the Trident’s range alongside a professional instructor from former F1 driver Andrea de Adamich’s Master Maserati Driving School. Alternating on display are a Ghibli, GranTurismo four-seat coupé and the GranTurismo Convertible. The shop, which will be open through the end of January, also carries goods from Maseratis brand partners like Ermenegildo Zegna, Bulgari, and Argentinian polo outfitter La Martina. And speaking of pop-ups, stay tuned for the next DQ surprise. It’ll knock your socks off.

Words by: JPS for duncan quinn It may surprise you to learn that the most beautiful Porsche ever built is not the 911.
