Quinn + Tonik Vol. 61: Some Like It Hot...And Cold
We are considering wearing tweed in Miami. Just for shits and giggles. And also with a nod to the theory that insulation makes you cool, as well as warm. It's for damned sure we won't be sweating through it in an embarrassing way.
Jokes aside, it is a time for tweed. Again. That glorious moment when the weather becomes brisk, and yet the skies remain blue. A time to step out in full three piece glory and enjoy it. Perhaps with a pair of our spectacular new gloves as an accompaniment.
It is simply our favourite part of the year. And a time to be celebrated with a spectacular suit or three.
For those of you in warmer climes, there is, and always will be, tropical wool. That high twist phenomenon created by the British colonials to allow the wearing of suits and maintenance of decorum in even the most humid of climates. We have plenty to choose from; including offerings from Dormeuil, Scabal, Ariston, and others. As well as the ability to design and weave one just for you - should you so wish.
For while we have been developing some of the finest accessories known to man, we're always at the ready with the tape-measure, chalk and shears to cut you something special.
Ponder this, and, as usual, read from the bottom up, mix that cocktail, and enjoy.
visit: miami pop-up

Bespoke appointments also available. And ready to wear items perfect for a day on the beach, and a night on the town.
Oh....and swimshorts for the beach should you need a pair. They're the perfect beachwear for the Gentleman Rogue. Combining classic design with a twist and state-of-the-art technical fabrics our swim shorts are second to none offering a soft sensual feel next to the body with quick dry comfort. Contrast waistband, thigh stripes, signature smoking skull on back pocket and luminous quad stripes.
What better movie to recommend which combines our love of tweeds, Caribbean islands, and Miami?
Sit back with cocktail in hand, and let your eyes drink deep the elixir of a well cut brown tweed suit with a well built Aston Martin. And a well cut grey three piece tropical wool number for warmer climes. Like,...Miami.
We've all seen it before. But it's worth watching again.
read: the spy who came in from the cold
A deep dive into the murky waters of the cold war.
As Alec Leamas watches his last agent shot crossing from East Berlin he know his career is over. And a desk awaits for the duration of it. Or does it?
Graham Greene called it the best spy story he had ever read.
We hope you will enjoy as much as we did.
cocktail: the jungle bird
